Google (stylized as Google) is an Internet company located in the United States. It was pre-founded in 1995 as BackRub and founded in August 4th? 1998, and is now one of the biggest computer companies in the world. It started off as a search company, and it still remains it's primary focus. However, Google has gone into many other computer fields, such as internet browser, social network, mobile operating system, email, and many other areas.

Google has recently revealed some of their data centers around the world. It is estimated that they own over one million servers in these data centers, and process over one billion search requests, and 24 petabytes of user-generated content every day.

History[]

The company was first started when Larry Page and Sergey Brin, were attending Stanford University. When it was first founded, it was named BackRub. In 1995, it was incorporated as a private company, and didn't become a public company until 2004. In 2004, Larry Page, Sergey Brin, and Eric Schmidt agreed to work together at Google for 20 years, until 2024. In 2006, they moved their headquarters to Mountain View, California, were it is today.

Since then, Google has experienced a rapid growth, and has created several other successful products. Some of these include Google Chrome, the most popular web browser ever. Android, the most popular mobile operating system ever. Gmail, one of the most popular email services. AdWords, the most popular ad service ever, as well as many other popular services. They have also acquired several other companies, such as YouTube, Motorola, and Blogger. Out of all of these services, Google obtains most of it's profit from AdWords.
